What does it mean to be a “follower” of a loan?
This means you will receive email communication for that loan. Emails are sent out when a comment is placed on a task or in the messages board, or a new task has been created. This is designed to keep you “in the loop” for active loans or loans of particular interest to you.
How does someone become a “follower” of a loan?
A user is designated as a “follower” when:
- Their email preference is set to “All Loans,” which will automatically add them as
- a follower of that loan;
- The user submits a loan, automatically adding them as a follower of that loan;
- You or someone in your organization adds you as a follower; and/or
- You add a message to the message board or in a comment for a particular loan
- Users will receive email notifications on all loans they are following.
How can I manage which loans I receive email communication for?
Go to “Email Preferences” from your personal account settings. There are two options:
- “All Loans”: Select this to receive email communication on all loans submitted by your organization (default choice)
- “Select Loans”: Select this to customize which loans you want to receive email communications for
Can I add or remove myself as a “follower” on a loan at any time?
Yes. Simply click the edit “pencil” icon at the bottom of any loan’s task or messages panel and either add or remove your name.
Can I add or remove others in my organization to the email communication on a loan?
Yes you can, following the same steps outlined above to add or remove yourself from email communications. Once you click the pencil icon at the bottom of any loan’s task or messages panel and either add or remove the appropriate name.
Yes, at least one person from each organization must be a follower of any given loan so that we can be sure important communications are being received.
How can I see which loans I’m following?
Navigate to the “Loans” tab in Lender Platform, and you can filter the list of “Pipeline” loans to only those you are following by clicking the “Following Only” filter.
How can I see who is following a loan?
You can click the pencil icon at the bottom of any loan’s task or messages panel to view the full list of names, or you can hover over the icons next to “Followers” to see the same list.
